As a jewellery designer, I've taken quite a few commissions for weddings. As a musician, I've performed at a lot of them, too. And often at these weddings, people have commented that they don't want to have a traditional-style wedding, adhering to every convention as laid down by history - they want to do it their own way.

Thus I've found myself making full sets of vintage style bridal and bridesmaids' jewellery from buttons, or catching a glimpse of the bride's bright, hot-pink petticoat and platform shoes under her white dress, or playing the violin next to a wedding cake adorned with Sylvanian family teddy bears representing the bride and groom. Recently I saw a wedding cake that was made out of cheese, of which I greatly approved. Even people who might go for a traditional gold, silver or platinum eternity band in their choice of ring quite often like to have more original or unusual necklaces, bracelets or earrings to wear as well.

I have set up this website as a bespoke service for making unusual wedding jewellery. I also have a few pieces in stock which you can buy directly from the site, and you can also visit my other jewellery sites - Button Jewellery and the Unexpected Boutique - for ideas.

If you have an idea for a piece of unusual wedding jewellery, but you can't find anything quite like it anywhere, let me know - I'll see what I can do!
